Born in Perth in 1982, Leisa grew up in a family of martial artists. Starting Go Kan Ryu Karate Do in 1994 at the age of 12 she obtained her Blue Belt, before starting Taijutsu in 1999.
She progressed through the ranks receiving "The Grandmaster's Award" for most of her gradings. This award was kept for only the students who demonstrated the very highest level of skill in their gradings.
Leisa graded for her Brown Belt in 2005 which involved a two day grading designed to punish the candidate in all aspects of the art.
After moving to Busselton Leisa completed her Certificate III in Fitness Training. Leisa has completed many other courses such as "Pre & Postnatal Exercise, Nutrition for Pregnancy and Lactation, Motivating High Performance, & Sports Medicine Australia."
She has also completed her Certificate II & III in Community Pharmacy which has further helped her understanding of the health aspects of her career.
Leisa now has developed a keen interest in fitness training and runs regular fitness classes. These classes draw on Leisa's vast martial arts experience to create fun but challenging workouts. Leisa's classes also cater before, during and after pregnancy for all women.
